Has anybody ever played Golden Sun?

it was... alright. but when you get those 'extra' members they won't help much unless you train like mad.

I loved the advance games but the DS one wasn't as good as the other two were anyway I think it would be pretty nice if there was another sequel for "Dark Dawn" because there are still so many open questions, like the Psynergy vortexes.

never played the DS ones since I wasn't a huge fan of the gba ones. can't imagine them being any better :P

I loved the first two, although near the end of The Lost Age I began losing steam when it came to tackling the dungeons ^_^; Those lighthouses took some serious stamina.

I haven't played the DS game yet, although I'm planning to.

I used to play the one for the Advance (The lost age) and it was AWESUM. But when I played it first there was a temple where you had to go, I never did and I had to restart the whole game because i was missing a psynergy and I couldn't get back to the temple. :c AND I NEVER MANGED TO BEAT THAT STUPID DRAGON AT THE END AND THEN I LOST THE GAME. FFFUUUU

I played the part of the first and finished the second. Dark Dawn was pretty terrible, though. In my opinion, it got pretty redundant really quickly.

Yes, I have only played the GBA ones but i never completed the first one... i got stuck at the squid on the boat, which i believe its the final boss... should i buy the DS one?

The order is... 1-Golden Sun (GBA) 2-Golden Sun: Lost Age (GBA) 3-Golden Sun: Dark Dawn (DS)

yep it was the lost age I played. it was fun but after the reunion it got harsh.

I have and have played all three. Dark Dawn may not have been that great, but I waited nearly ten years for that game! =< I'm just glad it came out. -_- But Sveta, Amiti and Eoleo were pretty awesome. =D

I was tempte to try the DS but idk, I wasn't that easy with the gba ones so

I played all three of them. I loved loved loved loved the GBA ones, they might be the best games I ever played. I didn't like Dark Dawn so much, don't know why exactly. The characters seemed annoying, the plot was weird and not so interesting and I didn't like the music that much.

I've played all three, buuuut Dark Dawn was kind of a let down. :s The dialogue was incredibly repetitive and the addition of four extra characters was a bit overwhelming. I thought you couldn't quite connect to the other characters, especially those presented later in the game (Eoleo, Himi). The plot was interesting, but it felt a tad unrelated to the rest of the series. It was still fun to play, though. c:

Dark Dawn reminded me a lot of the first game, to be honest. The first Golden Sun game was pretty short with everything left open, whereas you had so much more to do in the second game. I'm just hoping that when they do a sequel to Dark Dawn (which they should with the story left open), that it comes out on the DS and not the 3DS.

I'm a huge Golden Sun dork. See: My username (yeah, it's referring the djinn, not the beer.) I'm replaying the first one since I ragequit it like 8 years ago.

Although without getting too spoilery, the ending to Dark Dawn made me table flip. I agree with that it should be on the DS and not the 3DS. I don't wanna have to buy another console.

I love the series dearly; When I found out about Dark Dawn, I definitely squealed. And it was a lot of fun - most of the characters were interesting, the idea of the vortexes was cool, and I love the graphics overall ♥ But the ending was a major disappointment. And the whole Arcanus thing? I think everyone got it the day they came out with the official artwork! xP

I hope we get to see more characters in the next games. I really wanna see Jenna and Ivan : )
